Picking Up Your Date in Motorcycles, Convertibles and Other Fun Open Vehicles

 Last night driving with friends we saw a crazy little car(?) that was so small it looked like it was only big enough to fit the driver, who was a man. As we pulled up beside this absolute head-turner of a vehicle I noticed that it actually had two people riding in it, the second being a very nervous looking young lady who was holding onto the frame for all she was worth. Judging from the way she was dressed (and her faux grin) it appeared to be a date...quite possibly a first one.

This totally reminded me of the first person I met through online dating - he arrived for the first date on a motorcycle....I turned out to be my first motorbike ride!

Maybe you want to impress a hottie you met on an online dating website and you want to create the WOW factor for the first impression....but please think again.

Guys, this is why picking up your date without warning in a motorcycle, convertible, or other open vehicle is a NO NO!

• Our hair could get ruined: The aggressive wind from speeding in a convertible and the unforgiving head-encasement of the helmet are both hair style murderers. Warn us first to avoid up-do deaths. *Tip: if you usually drive a convertible have some scarves in the glove compartment for any lady riders.
• Our panties might show: Mini skirts, while popular in date fashion, do not mix with motorcycles. Save the panty show for the end of the date! ;-)
• We might lose our headdress: Our cute hats and hair pieces could fly away or be mushed by a helmet. Not the right kind of memory we want to make!
• Our nerves: Dates are nerve-wracking enough - especially first ones. If we haven't been on a motorcycle before it can be an exciting but scary surprise. Let us know first so we know what we're conquering that day.

Keep these tips in mind this prowling season with your fun summer-y vehicle. It could make the difference between an awesome date, and a worrisome wardrobe mishap. Warn us!
